Our Purpose

To build up the Body of Christ among the Chin People through education, printed and online materials, and conferences that promote their history as Chins and as Christians.

Publishing new and out-of-print books on the Christian heritage of the Chin people

Building a Chin museum, education, and resource center 

Contacting the descendants of pioneering missionaries to the Chin to recover their incredible stories

Collecting historical artifacts from the early days of the evangelization of the Chin

Kenneth Van Bik, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Comp. Lit., and Linguistics at California State University, Fullerton with a Ph.D. in linguistic studies from the University of California at Berkeley


Rev. Hai Vung Lian (deceased)

Pastored Emmanuel Chin Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio and was instrumental in founding the Chin Heritage Foundation. Pastor Lian went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2021 after a long battle with COVID-19. This foundation carries on his legacy to the Chin people.

Pastor Mark A. Robinette (deceased)

Pastored Foundation Church of Mount Sterling, Ohio and founded Mission to Myanmar. Pastor Robinette enthusiastically carried on Pastor Lian's vision for the Chin Heritage Foundation. Pastor Robinette went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2024 after a tragic house fire. This foundation carries on his love for the Chin people.
